The River Wharfe

The River Wharfe is a river in Yorkshire, England. For much of its length it is the county boundary between West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.

The river source is at Beckermonds in Langstrothdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and flows through Kettlewell, Grassington, Bolton Abbey, Addingham, Ilkley, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Otley, Wetherby and Tadcaster.

The Wharfe stretches 65 miles before it joins the Ouse. West Riding Anglers have 5 stretches on the Wharfe covering nearly 10 miles starting from the Burley in Wharfedale section, two stretches at Harewood, one at Woodhall and the furthest down stream on the tidal section at Ozendyke.

A variety of methods can be used to catch the following types of fish depending on which stretch you visit. Chub, Barbel, Dace, Grayling, Trout, Bream(Rare), Roach, Perch and Pike that all thrive within the River Wharfe.
