Sherburn Pond

West Riding Anglers club own a 1.7 Acre pond on the outskirts of Sherburn in Elmet (pronounced SHUR-ber-nin-EL-mit). Sherburn in Elmet is a town and civil parish in the district and county of North Yorkshire, England. It is to the west of Selby and south of Tadcaster. It was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974.

It is one of three place names associated with the post-Roman kingdom of Elmet, the others being Barwick-in-Elmet and Scholes-in-Elmet. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 6,657.

Originally a Clay Pit dating back to the 19th century, the mature pond was bought in 1983 and enlarged to its now 1.7 acre size. A popular venue for all anglers and skill level due to good catches and easy access.

A variety of methods can be used to catch the following types of fish Carp, Eels, Perch, Roach, Rudd, and Tench.
